When Evoco was founded over 12 years ago, our claim to fame was cloud-based document management. It didn’t matter if you were a retailer, architect, home builder or general contractor; we could house your required building documents online. We enabled sharing with partners and clients and took a radical step up from the old FTP site. A novel concept at the time, but over the years a multitude of other online document management solutions have arisen. During this time, Evoco itself has become more specialized, focusing specifically on multi-location retailers and developing business solutions to match their needs. We learned more and more about the retail industry, their struggles and required efficiencies and began to see they couldn’t be served by being pigeonholed into, say a Legal Document Management System or the one-size-fits-all deployment of a shared enterprise wide system. They needed something that addressed the complexity of both their files and organizational structure, while promoting the collaboration needed to streamline workflows with large numbers of external stakeholders.
is the culmination of this learning. It is a re-envisioning of what we have always provided our clients; translating the observations we had made about the retail industry into key differentiating functionality. We specifically designed it to handle renderings of vector files and organize them in an intuitive, graphical way that allows users to glean important information with a quick glance. We built a system to work simultaneously within the guidelines of many organizations – not just the primary owner. The system is structured to support design and construction document sets numbering in the hundreds of single-page sheets, right up to more complex geotechnical reports. fuze
Documents logically groups files by discipline or industry classification code and corresponds them to key design or construction milestones. It wasn’t sufficient for us to be able to handle the large volume in a scalable way – it became more about how we ORGANIZED and displayed the data. So our users could gain the info and insight desired.

Documents in such a way that ensures all users are able to take full advantage of the solutions power. Users and user role security is assigned and managed from a central source, built with a templating functionality to easily roll out the necessary file structure to multiple parties. User and partner management becomes a much simpler part-time activity without compromising security, functionality and collaboration.
While the need for cloud-based document management has continued to grow over the last 12 years, thankfully we have been paying attention and growing along with it. We are excited to welcome the next decade of growth with the release fuze documents; the retailers answer to document management.
